The People Behind the Voyage
Behind every Mirabo Adventures voyage is a small team brought together by a shared love of the sea, exploration and meaningful journeys.
Each of us brings a different path, experience and perspective – from ocean sailing, aviation and meteorology to voyage preparation, technical knowledge, photography and education. What connects us is a thoughtful approach to every journey, respect for the sea and the desire to share the world beyond the familiar.
We believe that the best voyages grow from trust, clear communication and genuine participation. Onboard, everyone has a place in the story.

Yavor Djonev
Voyager · Founder · Behind the Mirabo Vision
Part of the original Mirabo story and the quiet vision behind it. For Yavor, Mirabo is a way to explore the world under sail, learn from the journey and share the horizon with others.
Yavor is part of the original Mirabo story and one of the people who helped shape its direction from behind the scenes.
For him, Mirabo is the fulfilment of a long-held dream – a dream of exploring the world under sail, reaching places beyond the familiar and sharing the journey with people who are curious enough to follow the horizon.
After many years in the software industry, Yavor chose a different direction, shaped by the sea, education and meaningful exploration. Mirabo became more than a sailing boat: she became a way of life, a meeting place and an invitation to discover the world slowly, openly and with a sense of wonder.
For Yavor, the journey has always mattered as much as the destination. His approach values curiosity, freedom and the possibility of allowing a voyage to unfold naturally – staying longer, changing course and following what feels worth discovering.
Alongside sailing, Yavor has been deeply involved in educational innovation and the development of a new-generation school ecosystem in Bulgaria. The same desire to learn, question and explore is at the heart of Mirabo Adventures.

Sailing with Stefan is also an opportunity to learn – not only about navigation and sail handling, but about awareness, responsibility and the quiet discipline of seamanship.

We come from different worlds, but the sea has brought our paths together.
What connects us is a belief that sailing can be both an adventure and a place of trust – a way to discover remote landscapes, meet people beyond the usual routes and experience the world with greater attention.
Every voyage is different. The boat, route and members of the onboard team may change, but our shared values remain the same:
